We had great fun last week recording a performance for Birmingham Baroque 2021: International Biennial Baroque Conference.

In our bespoke programme, we explored works popular in Britain in the first half of the eighteenth century. The enthusiasm for the concerti grossi of Corelli and his contemporaries spawned a generation of publications from native composers hoping to cater for the growing market of gentry amateur musicians. The works we recorded - by Handel, Capel Bond, Vivaldi, John Alcock and Wassenaer - are all taken from the music collection of the Earls of Bradford, the Bridgeman family, whose country seat was nearby Castle Bromwich Hall.

Left my console at my cousin’s place for weeks, so I looked online for something new. Found golden genie and tried the games. The vibe was playful and smooth, and their UK-specific daily bonus spins helped stretch the playtime. I liked how they didn’t pressure you with notifications or constant popups. Just easy and calm.
